(Non)Trivial Pursuit

Face it, as lawyers, most of us have two things in common: We’re competitive, and we think we know everything. What better way to express these qualities than through a trivia contest?
On Oct. 24, 2009, The Fund kicked off its first-ever Lawyer Trivia Challenge. Or as we like to call it, “Brains for Bucks.” We got the idea from the good lawyers at Ford & Harrison, LLP, who—with the help of St. Thomas law students—organized and ran a great afternoon of competition and fun.
With 10 teams participating, Dorsey & Whitney, Mansfield, Tanick & Cohen, Minnesota Lawyers Mutual, and Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi advanced to the semifinals. The exciting final between Dorsey and Mansfield, Tanick was decided by two questions.
Using genius to spread justice—what a great idea! Don’t miss your chance to be behind the buzzers next time.
